Scott Wolfe is an Associate Professor in the School of Criminal Justice at Michigan State University. His research focuses on policing, organizational justice, legitimacy and criminological theory.
Wolfe’s recent work has examined issues such as predictors of police managers’ support for organizational justice, officers’ experiences with negative publicity and the Ferguson Effect, officers’ willingness to use procedural justice, and the legal socialization process. He is currently co-principal investigator on a National Institute of Justice grant evaluating a police officer social interaction and de-escalation training program.
Wolfe earned his Ph.D. in criminology and criminal justice from Arizona State University. He received their 2019 Alumni Scholar Award for outstanding scholarly contributions to the discipline.
