Letters of RecommendationThree letters of recommendation from previous academic faculty are preferred, but we accept letters from supervisors, directors and/or colleagues if you’ve been out of school for four or more years

Non-faculty recommenders should be able to attest to/comment on your ability to perform graduate-level academic work
TranscriptsAn official transcript from each institution attended is required

Transfer Credit

With the approval of the SCJ Graduate Committee, our online Master of Science in Law Enforcement Intelligence and Analysis can accept up to nine graduate-level transfer credits from a regionally accredited institution that offers comparable coursework and course descriptions.

Admissions Dates to Remember

We accept applications throughout the year. The deadline for applications and all supporting materials is:

  • March 30 – Summer (application review begins February 1)
  • June 15 – Fall (application review begins April 15)
  • October 30 – Spring (application review begins September 1)

International Students

The MSU online Master of Science in Law Enforcement Intelligence and Analysis program gladly accepts international students. Along with the online application and the requirements listed above, international candidates should submit the following.

TOEFL or IELTS Scores (International Students Only)TOEFL: Minimum 80 overall; minimum 19 for Reading, Listening and Speaking sections, and 22 for the Writing section

IELTS: Average score of 6.5
