You’ve done the research and decided to advance your education and career with Michigan State University (MSU). It’s time to apply!

The process starts with the completion of a simple online form. Applications are reviewed multiple times a year, with the following deadlines:

February 1 and March 30 - Summer
April 15 and June 15 - Fall
September 1 and October 30 - Spring

Follow the step-by-step instructions below and receive a decision about your acceptance into a degree program in ample time to enroll.

Application Process

Step 1

Fill out your application with the appropriate Major Preference: Criminal Justice - Masters of Art; Law Enforcement Intelligence & Analysis  - Masters of Science; Cybercrime and Digital Investigation - Masters of Science; or Cyber Criminology & Cyber Security - Graduate Certificate. Remember to save your progress as you complete the form.

Step 2

Prepare any application requirements. Find more information on program requirements on the admissions section of the program you’ve selected or call (833) 725-1354 toll-free to speak with an MSU program manager.

Step 3

Pay your application fee. All online graduate criminal justice programs with MSU require a non-refundable application submission fee. Call (833) 725-1354 toll-free with any questions about payment.

Step 4

Order and submit all official transcripts. All graduate applicants must submit an official transcript from each school attended. For international applicants, transcripts from non-U.S. colleges or universities as well as a copy of your diploma/degree must be sent by the institution(s) attended via standard mail (not electronic mail) directly to the Graduate Secretary of the School of Criminal Justice.
