Letters of RecommendationThree letters of recommendation from previous academic faculty are preferred, but we accept letters from supervisors, directors and/or colleagues if you’ve been out of school for four or more years.

Non-faculty recommenders should be able to attest to/comment on your ability to perform graduate-level academic work.

Transfer Credit

With the approval of the SCJ Graduate Committee, our online Master of Science in Cybercrime and Digital Investigation can accept up to nine graduate-level transfer credits from a regionally accredited institution that offers comparable coursework and course descriptions.

Admissions Dates to Remember

We accept applications throughout the year. The deadline for applications and all supporting materials is:

  • March 30 – Summer (application review begins February 1)
  • June 15 – Fall (application review begins April 15)
  • October 30 – Spring (application review begins September 1)

The Michigan State University online Master of Science in Cybercrime and Digital Investigation program gladly accepts international students. Along with the online application and the requirements listed above, international candidates should submit the following.
